Finding a dog treat that your dog will enjoy is not a difficult task.  Finding one that you can feel comfortable giving to them is an entirely different story.  The majority of commercial dog treats are full of fillers, artificial flavors, and preservatives.  They may taste fine, but they at best offer no nutritional benefits and at worst are even harmful to your pets health.  We all try to watch what we eat, and we really should do the same for our dogs.

One of the many flavors of Zuke's Mini Naturals! The Wild Rabbit is sourced from New Zealand.

Introducing Zuke’s Mini Naturals

Zuke’s Mini Naturals are a healthy treat, made with high quality proteins and packed with vitamins and minerals.  These treats are American made with American sourced ingredients.  They have no artificial flavors or byproducts and are only 3 calories a piece.  With no wheat, corn or soy, these treats are also a great option for dogs with allergies.  Aside from Peanut Butter, Zuke’s Mini Naturals are also available in Chicken, Wild Rabbit, Duck, Pork and Salmon flavors.

Product Review

These treats are very small, and thus an excellent choice for training.  They have plenty of flavor and scent to keep your dog motivated, and because they are only 3 calories per treat, you don’t have to worry about giving many of them to your dog in one sitting.  Harley seemed to enjoy the flavor very much, and for a dog that is not especially food motivated, these worked well to keep his attention.  The bags are very full and we felt that you got a lot for your money.

Zuke's Mini Naturals come in a resealable bag packed full of treats! These make the perfect dog training treat!

Why MyDogLikes Zuke’s Mini Naturals

These treats are one of Harleys all time favorites.  They are very effective as both a training aid or for regular treating.  What really sets Zuke’s Mini Naturals apart however, is the quality of their ingredients.  With lots of protein and no filler, these treats are healthy for your dog and a great way to reward them.

  • I agree. Zuke’s is one of the few training treats that I recommend to my clients and I bring them along with me on every training session. Most dogs love them and will do just about anything for a tasty peanut butter, chicken or salmon morsel.

It’s refreshing to see better quality dog and cat treats hitting the market.

Another thing that I like about Zuke’s is that the quality is good and the price is affordable. Most healthy treats cost a paw and a leg.

  • This is very true – they are not expensive for a high quality treat. I also find that all of their packages come surprisingly full, so you are getting a lot for the price.

  • ChazzTheDog luvs these treats. I have seen in the past some hoomans complain of the smell. Hello, they’re for the dog. Chicken & Salmon flavors are his favorites. I found the Peanut Butter to dry out quickly.

But Zukes, is good stuff for your dog!

    • Their odor is somewhat strong, but I agree its one of the reasons why they love them so much! This also helps for keeping a dogs attention during training.

  • I just discovered Zukes Mini Naturals about 3 months ago. I was on a hunt trying to find Rabbit treats. This was also difficult not only because it’s rabbit, but I will only buy natural, American made foods/treats for my dogs. When I read the ingredients I was excited!! Rabbit, Ground Rice, Ground Barley, Malted Barley, etc. You are right, it’s excellent for dog training. And my dogs love, love, love these treats! My dogs love the Salmon ones too!!
