We picked up the Hurley a few years ago, back when Harley was still in his “toy destruction” phase. Its initial appeal was the toughness and durability claims – Although we had been down that road before, their one time product replacement guarantee proved convincing enough for me.

The Hurley is constructed from West Paw Designs Zogoflex material. This is a uniquely rugged and flexible material, and it is surprisingly lightweight as well. Immediately noticeable with the Hurley was the absence of Harleys’ typical aversion to anything rubber or plastic. (I know its weird, and it makes dog toy shopping especially difficult) In fact, years later, Zogoflex is the only material of this sort that Harley will play with. The Hurley is available in 3 bright colors and 2 sizes. It is non toxic, recyclable, and American made. In fact the more I read about West Paw Design the more I like them!
Product Use
This is a very versatile dog toy. Ideal for fetch, the Hurley even floats on water – a huge plus for a Golden Retriever. The Hurley’s familiar bone shape and ruggedness makes it excellent as a chew toy as well. Harley seems to really enjoy the resistance that the Hurley provides – perhaps similar to another favorite in a tennis ball, it has just the right amount of “squish.”
Final Thoughts
The Hurley is absolutely one of our favorite ever dog toys. We had it for over a year with a fairly aggressive chewer, and it looked the same as the day that we bought it. I definitely recommend this product, and with their one time product replacement guarantee, why not give it a shot?
I love this product and the whole line actually! The toys are so durable and my dog loves their chewiness. I would recommend any of the Zogoflex products!!!
