Monkey Stick Dog Toy Review

I should preface this review by explaining that Harley LOVES stuffed animals.  The innate puppy desire to rip them apart and scatter their fluffy insides escaped him at a young age.  Now his stuffed toys have become somewhat of a prized possession.  You can be sure that if you find yourself at our front door you will be greeted with a stuffed animal, and 9 times out of 10 it will be his Monkey Stick.

Harley with his Monkey Stick Dog Toy

Product Description

First things first, the Monkey Stick is a very large toy. It looks like an elongated version of a standard stuffed animal, with tiny appendages. The dimensions of ours is roughly 26″ x 9″ x 8.” It comes in smaller sizes, but I must admit half the fun comes in watching them lug this guy around the house.  The Monkey stick is extremely plush, and comes with 5 squeakers and 1 quacker.

Product Review

This toy is ideal for both gentle to moderate play, and extreme cuddling. Harley has a great time parading his monkey stick around the house and shaking it to hear the noises it makes. The combination of its noise elements come together well to really get him going.  Perhaps more importantly, at least in Harley’s case, is the monkey sticks proficiency as a cuddle buddy. Harley is known to carry this toy with him from room to room, and he is commonly found napping with it as well.

Final thoughts

This is a well made dog toy, but it is in no way designed to withstand more than gentile “mouthing” and shaking.  That being said, ours is still looking good after 5 years of love!  Be prepared for a few tables to be cleared while your dog passes by maneuvering this behemoth, but trust me, any hassle is worth the laugh!  You know your dog best, so I’ll let you decide whether or not it is appropriate for them. One thing’s for sure, if your dog loves stuffed animals like Harley does, this will be a big hit.
